Overlapping stories of men desperately in love were the main attraction that made Männerherzen a hit movie in Germany in 2009. A sequel was made two years later continuing the adventures and mostly misadventures of these characters with their objects of attraction. The cast led by German superstar Til Schweiger came back for the sequel and the movie picked up where the original ended. Since the structure of the movie was quite well known now, there were basically no real surprises, Männerherzen 2 is funny, at times sentimental, some subplots do work while others are quite awkward. In the end it may not be as fresh as its predecessor but still good enough to entertain crowds of moviegoers.
